Due to the pandemic
novel corona virus, all the human activities have stopped and peoples are
staying at their home. The lifestyle has changed a lot, the government has put
everyone in lockdown and as per the government order the public areas are shut
until the next announcement. The main purpose of lockdown is to avoid the
unwanted gathering of crowd and to stop the spread of corona virus. The public place
includes the places where the peoples gather like parks, gym, cinema halls,
shopping malls, amusement parks, hotels, restaurants, play house, schools,
colleges, universities, offices, corporate sectors and many more.
The lockdown has made
humans to stay/ lock at home until the next announcement. And they cannot move
outside without any urgent work. The police and government workers are keeping
assure that peoples are staying back home.
The lockdown is
affecting very badly to the humans fitness and they are unable to perform any
kind of activities. This lead those to do workout at home and stay fit without going to gym.
There are many online
fitness classes happening all over the world to keep humans fit and healthy.
Here are the lists of
activities you can perform at home which will help you to stay fit.
1 Jumping
2 Surya Namaskar
3 Dance
4 Take stairs
5 Avoid sitting for
long hours
Jumping:
All must have know
about jumping but no one ever use to it. This can be because we don’t know the
benefits of jumping / skipping. Skipping is the best cardio exercise which
helps you maintain your fitness and shed away the extra fat of body.
Skipping is not at all
time consuming. Skipping rope hardly takes around 5mins to jump 500 times. If
you are a daily skipper or those who know jumping robe well you can do it more
fast.
Now you must be
thinking from where to get the skipping rope?
And What to do if don’t have jump rope at
home?
No need to worry guys,
you can still make it count and do
skipping without rope. Just jump and start counting. That’s it!
Surya Namaskar is my
personal favorite activity to do at home and it make me the calm and cool.
Surya Namaskar is the
best practice to stay fit because it includes 12 asanas and it works on whole
body. It makes you lose extra pounds and with the inhale and exhale breathing
practice it makes you healthy from inside out.
Surya Namaskar is also
known as sun Salutation in English. Sun salutation is not a time consuming
activity and can be perform with ease.

you are someone who don’t know how to do
surya namaskar? Just head to the youtube channels and search for the asans/ steps of sun salutation.
Dance:
And
dance is the best practice to stay fit
and flexible at home. Dance is light activity as well as entertaining which
you can enjoy with family and can stay fit and healthy.
You
can dance on any type of songs and with whatever steps you know. Just enjoy as
much as possible. Each and every dance step is a source of exercise only. Dance
makes your energy level up and helps you maintain fitness.
Now
a day’s Zumba and aerobics are in boom. You can search for zumba, aerobics
classes on youtube and start doing. There you can get dance steps on latest
songs and on evergreen songs as well.
There
are various online session happening where they teach you live zumba, aerobics.
Use Stairs:
If
you are someone who don’t have enough time to do the above mentioned activities
then opt for some minor changes in your lifestyle such as use stairs in place
of lift elevator while going down from your apartment reaching to you office
floors.
No
no if your office or home is at 10th floor no need to take
elevators. You can go half way from stairs and then can take lift.
Stairs
give strength to your core muscles and tone your legs without hitting to gym.
Avoid sitting for long hours:
Whether
you are at home or office going person.
Avoid sitting for long hours. Just go for small walk and roam around at
home and in office you can go to refill your water bottle. There are many
disadvantages of long time sitting; it makes you lazy and less productive. It
might give you back injury, leads to improper posture, pain in your muscles,
excess fat around waist.
Sitting
for long hours gives you diseases like increased blood pressure, high blood
sugar level.
